The Recon X-RFID has the choice of 125 KHZ, 134.2 KHz animal tags or high frequency (13.56 MHz)
Multi ISO plug-in readers. With
these you can read and write tags in
the most extreme environments.
Recon delivers maximum performance and reliability in a
lightweight and extremely rugged design. The waterproof Recon X-RFID
weighs just 500 gram, and it exceeds military specifications for
drop, dust, vibration and both high (+60°C) and low (-10°C) temperature
operation. The Recon works wherever and whenever you need it.
The ultimate in durable portable, handheld and mobile computers
capable of surviving the most extreme environment.
You can count on Recon when portability, data security and
maximum operating time are crucial. The innovative modular
design saves time and money on long-term service and provides
customization options to suit your different applications. The
PowerBoot Module integrates a 3800 mAh battery pack with
industry- standard 9-pin serial and USB ports into a single
component you can easily replace even in the field.
The Recon features the high-performance 200 Mhz or 400 Mhz
XScale processor, a colour display with front light, 64 Mb or
128 Mb of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 MB of nonvolatile Flash storage to protect
data from resets or even complete power loss. The operating
system Windows mobile 6 is easily upgradeable
and gives unmatched performance.
Windows Mobile 6 includes Word
Mobile, Excel Mobile, Outlook Mobile, Powerpoint Mobile and
Windows media player 10.

The Recon is an environmentally
sealed PDA (IP67) with a base unit having a Xscale processor,
64Mb, RAM, Color TFT screen, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 in flash memory, COM1, RS232 serial port,
USB, two user accessible Cf Card slots, speaker/microphone. Each
unit is supplied with a high capacity Rechargeable PowerBoot
Module, Standard Cf Cap, two stylus pens, a package of 10 screen
protecors, Handstrap, AC charger, USB data cable, Microsoft
Windows CE Services CD and an user leaflet.
